About the Programs

Make 2022 the year you achieve the prestigious credential of a healthcare accreditation certified professional (HACP). The HACP Preparatory Course is a day-long education program that will prepare you to successfully sit for the national examination the following day. Applicants have historically achieved a 98% pass rate on the national exam after attending the education program.

Program Types

Each HACP examination preparation course will be running on a concurrent schedule, please register for one examination preparation course only.
HACP - Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS)
The HACP-CMS certification encompasses a broad knowledge of the CMS Conditions of Participation for acute care hospitals, and the federal survey and certification process. Individuals who achieve this certification demonstrate mastery of subject matter addressing a wide variety of standards by CMS and all of the major accreditation providers (CIHQ, TJC, DNV, and ACHC).

HACP - Physical Environment (PE)
The HACP-PE certification demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of regulations addressing the physical environment in acute care hospitals. Content addresses key regulations and national standards in Safety/Security, Hazardous Materials & Waste, Emergency Power, Life Safety/Fire Safety, Healthcare Facilities Code, Utilities, and Medical Equipment.

Participants Will Receive

  • A complete syllabus of all course materials
  • The 2022 HACP Study Guide in PDF format
  • The HACP Applicant Handbook which contains detailed information about the certification and attendant policies in PDF format

Continuing Education Credit

This program has been approved for 6.0 continuing education hours by the Center for Improvement in Healthcare Quality.
Participants should check with their respective professional body to determine eligibility to use CEU towards licensure requirements
HACP is listed by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as meeting criteria for inclusion in a hospitals Demographic Data Collection Tool™ for Magnet Status.
