The HACP Preparatory Course is a day-long education program that will prepare you to successfully sit for the National
Examination. Applicants have historically achieved a 98% pass rate on the National
Examination after attending the Preparatory Course.

HACP - Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS)
The HACP-CMS certification encompasses a broad knowledge of the CMS Conditions of Participation for hospitals,
and the federal survey and certification process. Individuals who achieve this certification demonstrate mastery
of subject matter addressing a wide variety of standards by CMS and all major accreditation providers
(CIHQ, TJC, DNV, and ACHC).
The HACP-PE certification demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of regulations addressing the physical environment
in hospitals. Content addresses key regulations and national standards in safety/security, hazardous materials
& waste, emergency power, life safety/fire safety, healthcare facilities code, utilities, and medical equipment.
The HACP-IC certification demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of regulations and industry standards of care
addressing infection prevention and control in hospitals. Content addresses CMS requirements under the
Conditions of Participation, environmental controls, sterilization and disinfection, management of communicable
diseases, surveillance requirements, and much more!

Continuing Education Credit
This program has been approved for 6.0 continuing education hours by the Center for Improvement in Healthcare Quality.
Participants should check with their respective professional body to determine eligibility to use CEU's towards
licensure requirements.
